This film captivated me from the DVD sleeve until it ended with her *spoiler* acceptance into Oxford University. This is coming of-age done right and it was simply charming!
Carey Muligan as Jenny is a bomb in the film she plays her part so so so well and makes it have so much depth I had to constantly open my mouth in awe. The clothing, the makeup, her features. This girl is fantastic.
England heads back to their cinematic roots with this film and the grasp of the subject shows with wild force. The film is well paced and the story has no plot holes that I could pin-point.

Peter Saasgard is the most charming Englishmen wanabe alive! ( He is American) As you ride through the film you cant help but feel inside the film as Jenny and you damn right fall in love with that older cultured man! He is gorgeous and charming who can say no to that? Well… with his outcome the shift from one thing to the real him was simply preposterous it was so vivid and real!

The film is a little predictable in its story line but it is crafted so well that you dont really care because you dont really know when it will unfold. Apart from the starters Alfred Molina is very good as well in the film. It is downright great. Well deserved good reviews.
